山中的小城 : 九份

it actually surprised me when people messaged me in facebook, asking me about my trips to here and there.
singapore, bali, sekinchan, taiwan, USA etc.
there was also friend who wanted to know where did i get my haircut O_o
hahahaha, i have never thought of me myself can be a consultant!

anyhow, i am always more than happy to answer all the enquiries ^^*
information sharing makes me feel GOOOOOOD!

then i realized my travelling journal is incomplete because i rarely share HOW i travel there.
what transport or which station to alight; what to eat and how i spend.
i guess i overlooked all those experiences sharing =\
its's alright, i'll write in detailed this time.

errhmmm i literally went Taipei twice in a month =X
3 years ago, my taiwan trip lasts for 8 days but i didn't travel to many places due to laziness.
but this time, research was well done.
and most importantly, my friends in Taiwan offered so much help which 造就了我超棒的體驗!

on the page 1 of 366 this year, my awesomely loving friends brought me to 九份.
i love that place so much and have been dying to go there. finally i did =D

it was a rainy day unfortunately /o\
otherwise it would be so much better to walk and look around.

they are taiwanese: fang x bambee

fang bought us typical local breakie before we departed to 九份

we met in Taipei main station.
you can always eat and drink in public transport, excluding MRT. but im not sure about 高鐵, 呵呵.

anyway, we had our meal somewhere around the station.
according to fang, it takes shorter duration to reach 九份 station by train (train x mrt are two different transport).

九份 的 train station named 瑞芳
after reaching 瑞芳, follow the crowd to take bus to 九份

im wrapped like a gigantic kebab FML T__T
kebab is a description given by somebody =\ im gonna remember that forever.

the streets x shops x popular local delicacies

Photobucket

cute coffe maker x crowd x friends x local snacks

Photobucket

famous 阿英紅糟肉圓!
we ordered 滷肉飯 x 紅糟肉圓 x don't know what rice (sticky rice + red pork)
the 肉圓 is so huge O_o and i have no idea how should i describe the 口感 XD
worth a try tho.

it's freezing cold due to 飄雨 + 颳風 >.<
bambee is holding 暖暖包!

阿柑姨芋圓!!
strongly recommended if you are a fan of Snowflake kinda desserts! ^O^
their taro balls are soooooooo soft and delicious!
a must eat in 九份 =D
we had hot soup which i have no idea what the name is as i was busy taking photos + look around while my friends ordering XD =X

i ate greentea balls and taro balls!
oh, check out the bottom left photo: people leave messages and namecards and whatsoever on the table =)

old cinema 昇平戲院 =D
還蠻 eye-opening 的!
the best part is they provide stamps (malaysians named it CHOP -.- LOL) at the fake ticket counter so that you stamp/shop in your journal or wherever you want as 紀念.

everything is free of charge and definitely worth a visit!
they were screening old movie in the cinema too O_o

we went early in the morning, about 10am and left at 4 or 5 pm if im not mistaken.
really love that tourist spot!

another popular thing is the 九份's WOODEN POSTCARDS.
don;t forget to get yourself one of them in any souvenir shop along the streets =D

most right: 放映機! the old equipment (i assume we named it camera?) ~

the girls brought me to 淡水 after we went down hill.
the travelling was exhausting 哈哈哈哈 because it's too far away and we felt asleep in MRT.

the scenery in day and night of 九份 are different.
you might as well wanna stay 1 night there, in 民宿 =)

people will also pay a visit to 金瓜石 after 九份.
no worries, their transportation is mad convenient.
buses are everywhere. and the people are quite friendly and most of them are always ready to help.
in case of missing the station, you can always ask 司機叔叔 where to disembark.
they would inform you to get ready for your location before reaching!

don't be shy to ask for assistance.
i met few nice taiwanese who are super helpful in providing me information.
will blog about that later.

i hope you enjoy this post.
=D cheerios!
